Fairfield Primary is a school that is truly at the heart of its community. It is a school where individuals are valued and helped to achieve their very best in all areas of development. Children are supported in becoming confident and independent young people, who thrive on challenge, and are motivated to learn. We provide an inclusive and nurturing learning environment where a high-quality curriculum, diverse enrichment opportunities, and personalised development empowers every child to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Headteacher's Welcome
I am extremely proud to lead a team that is committed to children's well-being, achieving high standards and providing the very best opportunities for all in our care. Staff, supported by governors, work hard to deliver a rich and challenging curriculum; to help them acquire the skills and enthusiasm needed to embrace the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of later life. We believe in helping our learners to become ‘learners for life’.

Pastoral Care
The fundamental relationship between emotional and mental well-being and educational achievement is widely recognised and as a result we place great importance on Pastoral Care at Fairfield Primary School. Our vision is to have a full understanding and knowledge of the wide range of pastoral needs of the children in our care and to strive to provide them with the most appropriate support at any given time. We recognise that children need to develop their personal strength, confidence and understanding of self in order to progress emotionally, socially and educationally.
Forest School
Our Forest School approach has been successful with children of all ages who visit the same local woodlands on a regular basis and through play, have the opportunity to learn about the natural environment, how to handle risks and most importantly to use their own initiative to solve problems and co-operate with others. Through Forest School learning, children will develop: self-awareness; self-regulation; empathy; good social communication skills; independence; a positive mental attitude, self-esteem and confidence.
