Miss Edminson will be holding a Phonics information evening for the parents of the pupils in Year 1 on Monday 12th March at 5pm in the KS2 Hall.
Pupils in Year 1 will sit the government Phonics Check in June and they have been working very hard since the start of term. The evening will allow parents to understand the different phases of phonics teaching, how you can help your child at home, give you information about the upcoming check and also give you lots of ideas for fun phonics games you could play at home.
If any parents from Reception children (or Year 2 children that are re-sitting) would also like to attend then please get in touch with Miss Edminson via the school office.
We are aware that for some parents, attending events can be difficult for childcare reasons. We have thought about this and we will stream the session on Facebook Live so you can either watch live or catch up at another time. The Facebook live stream is open to anybody to watch.
It will be our first go at Facebook live so we hope that it works!
