Wheelchair basketball World Champion ‘Nat’ visited us this week and delivered a whole school assembly - he told us about his disability, how it happened and about all of his amazing wheelchair basketball achievements! He then delivered an intensive discussion for children in years 1 and 2 who all got to try out the chair. His visit gave the children a chance to understand better what it means to be disabled - and Nat explained really well to the children that no matter who you are, if you work hard, always try your best and are resilient, you can achieve! Nat also delivered coaching sessions to all children in years 3 and 5. We have had such amazing feedback we have booked a return visit to ensure children in years 4 and 6 receive coaching in February 2019! What a truly emotional and inspirational event for all.
