PC Mann from Cumbria Police visited school today with his two work colleagues, Drake and Skye. Skye, the general police dog, impressed the children by seeking out items and obey PC Mann's commands. She is used to chase and apprehend criminals and follow tracks of humans. Drake the labrador then wowed the children with his sniff-ability as he bounded around looking for hidden items. He was also fond of a good cuddle.
PC Mann gave the children a great insight into working and a police dog handler and how they are used to keep us safe.
