Lest we forget...
Today, we have marked Remembrance Day in school with a very special, virtual assembly which included poetry reading from Year 6 children and special reflections from Year 5. The children also learnt about the significance of the day and what the poppy represents.
Towards the end of our assembly, at 11am, we stood silent with the nation and observed a two-minute silence to show our respect.
Throughout the morning, each pupil placed their hand-crafted poppy on our wall of remembrance in the hall. The wall is now covered in the colours associated with this poignant day.
We are so incredibly proud of the respect and understanding demonstrated by our pupils right across the school.
