To consolidate our learning about the Normans, Year 4 enjoyed a visit to Appleby Castle. We experienced what life would be like living in a Norman castle, tried on a variety of armour and learnt about the Battle of Hastings. The children thoroughly enjoyed their day and showed great enthusiasm towards their learning.
