Class 5IB had a fantastic first day at Forest School on Friday. First, the children explored the Forest School site before heading off for a walk of the surrounding area, to enable the children to get a feel for where they were.
Next, the children learnt about 4 and 6 figure grid references and found different places on the map close to school, accurately using grid references; the children thoroughly enjoyed this excellent geography fieldwork activity.
It was a beautiful day in the forest and the pupils are looking forward to next week.
