Nurture Group have learnt about the Queen's wonderful 70 year reign and all the children have admired her dedication to our country and commonwealth.
They looked at all the ways the Queen would like us to commemorate her special year and carried out lots of activities she suggested. However, they were drawn to the planting of a tree activity. In order to purchase a tree, they decided to make crafts associated with the the Queen's reign and sell them to their friends.
Each year group then opened a small shop and sold the produce to raise the funds. They raised an amazing £112.00 and are planning to go shopping to the local garden centre. They are then going to plant the tree in the school grounds so as they grow and learn they can also watch the tree grow.
