What a fabulous week at Fairfield.
All pupils performed their Christmas, year group productions to packed audiences. The children were simply fantastic from Nursery to Year 6.
We also participated in some lovely community projects. Firstly, very well done to our amazing choir who performed for the residents of Kirklands on Friday afternoon. They really did make an amazing sound together and brought a smile to the faces of residents. Secondly, we were delighted to hand over seventy, handmade Christmas cards to Alison Desovska from Age UK West Cumbria on Friday morning. These will be handed out at their Christmas party next week. We are extremely proud of our art club, who have worked really hard over the past few weeks to get these ready on time. Well done all!
Here at Fairfield, we have kept our curriculum in full swing, with minimal disruption, in the run-up to Christmas. Some highlights this week have included Year 4 completing fieldwork activities in the local area (linked to their Rivers topic in Geography) and completing engaging, practical Science experiments; D&T food projects in Year 5; creative Artwork in Years 4 and 6; Geography studies based on their topic of 'America' in Year 6; problem solving in Maths in Year 2; and Computing in Year 1, with links to E-Safety. Right now though, we are busy preparing the final touches for two days of festive fun as we deliver our Christmas extravaganza to conclude a fantastic term.
See you all tomorrow for what promises to be two full days of fabulous, festive fun and magical memories.
