Year 5 were busy thinking about vehicles in their final D&T topic of the academic year, which included looking at the difference between fixed and split axles. They then had a go at making the axles with Lego and experimenting with them to help them to finalise their own vehicle designs.
The children then used their knowledge of axles and thought about the importance of having a strong chassis before making their vehicle designs a reality and creating their vehicle using K’Nex.
Once they were built, the children carried-out an in-depth evaluation of their finished products.
