Supercruch Snack Pots in D&T in Year 1...
As part of their final D&T topic, our Year 1 children were very busy developing their knowledge of basic healthy eating messages; carrying-out research to help them design a fruit based supercrunch
snack pot (including a taste test inspired by the colours of the rainbow); developing skills to safely use a range of basic food preparation skills, including cutting and chopping using the bridge-hold technique; designing, making and sharing their snack pot with a partner and evaluating the products; and designing purposeful, functional, appealing products for themselves and other users based on design criteria.
It was a fabulous topic.
