Reception Maths...
In the final half-term, our Reception friends were incredibly busy mathematicians learning and refining key skills and knowledge including: adding, subtracting, counting, number bonds, partitioning, understanding symmetry, identifying shapes by properties, ordering numbers etc.
As per our Calculation Policy, the children used a specific range of concrete manipulatives and explored the concepts practically (both indoors and outdoors) before transferring new knowledge to their Maths Books.
