Lest we forget...
Today, we marked Remembrance Day in school with a very special assembly where the children learnt about the significance of the day and what the poppy represents.
At 11am, we stood silent and observed a two-minute silence to show our respect. The children's conduct was exemplary.
Throughout the week, each pupil placed their hand-crafted poppy on our wall of remembrance in the hall. The wall remains covered in the colours associated with this poignant day. The children have also had informative Key Stage assemblies led by our History Leader on the significance of the event.
Our Nursery children visited the town's Cenotaph to lay their very own, special tribute.
We are so incredibly proud of the respect and understanding demonstrated by our pupils right across the school.
