Image of Year 3 Residential: York

Year 3 have had a magnificent Residential to York this year. They participated in 3 days worth of wonderful experiences, that has supported their learning across the whole of the curriculum.

Day 1 - Pupils enjoyed exploring the wonderful Forbidden Corner, which is a unique labyrinth of tunnels, chambers and surprises spread across 4 acres of garden. The pupils had a truly magical time. Within the evening at the Youth Hostel in York, pupils were challenged to participate in a range of Team Games hosted by the YHA staff. These were fun and energetic and provided the children with opportunities to develop their team building skills.

Day 2 - Children enjoyed a fun-packed, rich and informative experience visiting the Jovik Centre, participating in an archaeological dig as well as exploring the city walls and learning about the history of York itself. Following this, the pupils had some well-deserved fun at the local bowling alley.

Day 3 - On the final morning prior to returning to school, Year 3 visited Skipton Castle where they furthered their learning about the Tudors and Tudor Britain.

Year 3 had a lovely time and the experience provided the pupils with valuable experiences and skills, that will support their learning and wider experiences across their junior education.
