Image of Year 5 Residential: Manchester

From Wednesday-Friday this week, our Year 5 children enjoyed a wonderful residential to Manchester.

On day 1, the children explored Jodrell Bank, linking to their current Science topic of study, space. It was then time to bowl, dine and have fun at NAMCO amusements in The Trafford Centre - as well as a go on the dodgems!

Day 2 was yet another action packed day with the children enjoying a stadium tour of Old Trafford, followed by a guided museum tour, a 'Racism and Diversity in Football Workshop' (linked to British Values) and the rare opportunityto try on kits and boots worn by some of the team's most famous players! After visiting The Red Devils, it was then time for a very informative trip to the Manchester Museum. The museum provided lots of learning opportunities linked to current and prior history topics of study as well as a very enriching animal and nature section. Still bursting with energy, it was then time to head for a delicious evening meal and 18 holes of fun at DinoGolf!

On day 3, it was time to put on the skis as the children headed to Chill Factore! The children made incredible memories and learnt new skills through enjoying snowboarding, tobogganing, the snow park and a ski lesson. Naturally, they also had a play in the snow! What a cool way to conclude a truly fabulous residential.
