World Suicide Prevention Day

Suicide is the main cause of death in young people under the age of 35 in the UK.

On average, around five young people take their lives each day and over two-hundred teenagers are lost to suicide every year.

More than one in ten primary school children aged five to ten have an identifiable mental health condition – that’s around three children in every class.

That is why, as a school, we invest heavily in our pastoral support and we are incredibly proud of our extensive offer.

The theme this year is ‘Changing the Narrative on Suicide', aiming to raise awareness, reduce the stigma and encourage conversations.

The poster contains some key contact information from organisations who are there to support.

We're all a community together.
