Our Residential: Manchester & Liverpool

In the Summer Term, our Year 5 children enjoy a wonderful residential to both Manchester and Liverpool!  On day 1, the children explore Liverpool and enjoy visiting #theliverpoolmuseum before having lunch listening to live music- this year from the Eurovision Song Contest! The children then embark on a fabulous river cruise on the Mersey, with more live music and sight seeing. Then, they head to Manchester for a delicious evening meal and 18 holes of fun at #DinoGolf!

Day 2 is yet another action packed day with the children enjoying a stadium tour of Old Trafford, followed by a guided museum tour, a 'Racism and Diversity in Football Workshop' (linked to British Values) and a Mega Store shop! After visiting The True Red Devils Old Trafford, it's time to put on the skis as the children head to Chill Factore! The children make incredible memories and learn new skills through enjoying snowboarding, tobogganing, rock climbing and a ski lesson. Naturally, they also have a play in the snow! Still bursting with energy, it's then time to bowl, dine and have fun at NAMCO amusements in The Trafford Centre - this includes a go on the dodgems!

On day 3 to conclude a fantastic residential, Year 5 enjoyed a very informative trip to the Manchester Museum. The museum provides lots of learning opportunities linked to current and prior history topics of study.
